Kingdom Principles
Community Christian’s Core Values
-
A Spirit of Community
Community Christian strives to foster a spirit of community that represents God’s Kingdom by intentionally building relationships among our students and their families, while actively serving and engaging with the surrounding community.
“Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others.” Philippians 2:3-4.
-
Organizational Transparency
Community Christian is deliberate about communicating openly and transparently with our stakeholders (families, businesses, churches, and the greater community) regarding the organization's operations, with the intent of building trust and establishing accountability.
“But those who do what is right come to the light so others can see that they are doing what God wants.” John 3:21, NLT.
-
Individualized Learning
Community Christian recognizes the deficits produced by a “one size fits all” learning model, and strives to provide personal and individualized learning opportunities that empower students to take ownership of their education, responsibility for their work, and promote deeper understanding and retention of knowledge.
“Instruct the wise, and they will be even wiser. Teach the righteous, and they will learn even more. Fear of the LORD is the foundation of wisdom. Knowledge of the Holy One results in good judgment.” Proverbs 9:9-10, NLT.
-
Family Engagement
Community Christian recognizes the parent’s role as stewards over their children’s lives and their responsibility to train and nurture their children in the ways of the Lord. We value the opportunity to partner with parents, grandparents, and other extended family members, and encourage their involvement and contributions at all levels.
“Direct your children onto the right path, and when they are older, they will not leave it.” Proverbs 22:6, NLT.
-
Intentional Discipleship
Community Christian values every opportunity to lead young people to Christ. and recognizes our responsibility to mentor, encourage, and provide them with the tools and resources needed to put their faith into action, and live a life dedicated to glorifying God.
“Jesus said to the people who believed in him, “You are truly my disciples if you remain faithful to my teachings. And you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” John 8:31-32, NLT.
